In my last article, I wrote about what’s the meaning of life. See “What’s the Purpose of Life — Part 1 Meaning of Life”. In this article, I will present my answers in relation to what’s the purpose of life.

The purpose of life is set by each individual who has been granted a life for free. In other words, The purpose of life would be different to everyone on a case-by-case basis. However, there should be some universal answers or understandings, as human beings are social creatures therefore they share some of the common values as a group. I, as someone in my late 20s, born and raised in China, living in Sydney for over seven years, and travelling around the world with five different degrees and qualifications in total, believe that my purpose of life is to love myself.

To put self-love in a simple term, loving yourself is to make yourself happy so that you are enjoying your current life and feel that life is positive to you so that you would love to continue to be alive. There are moments in life when we may feel sad, unhappy, angry, furious, disappointed and depressed. These emotions are on the opposite side of being happy and loved. These negative emotions to a large degree will be caused by unpredictable and uncontrollable life events, which may have significant negative impacts on our emotional well-being. When…
